So sad, but as I told you long ago, Tehosekoitin has come to and end, and so does the Screamin' Stukas, since it was the same band but singing in English. They will play their very last gig next Sunday in Ankkarock, Korso, Finland. So this topic is my little tribute to both bands!
You may like their music or you may not like it, but for some of us the ending of this band is a big loss. They have been special for a long time and for some of us they have been that lovely soundtrack for the nice moments of our lifes. And again, they have been that bitter melody squeezing our hearts and making our tears flow like the rain whenever our sun has been obscured. They have been the smile and the cry at the same time, they have given us so many precious moments and so many wonderful gigs. They have been there, and now looks like hard to face life without this anymore. But their legacy is big and remaining to fill that empty with joy.
I've had the chance to see them live a few times this summer and I have little words to describe all the emotions. First gig in Ruisrock was great. Rain was threatening but the sun came up to save us from water. Then Tammerfest was amazing as well. The afternoon gig was just fine. They kept the energy for the evening gig, which was full of action and full of surprises. They broke the promise and played some Stukas' songs, they were more active and the whole thing was brilliant. But the best was still to come, when they played their last club gig in Helsinki, at On The Rocks. That was one of the best gigs I've seen. The setlist was hilarious and quite unusual, there were special rapper guests, the place was packed, the tickets were sold out, and they ended up thrilling everybody with a short acoustic set. Eyes were filled with tears, voices were quivering and so many emotions and feelings flew around the air. It was some sorta bittersweet feeling, melancholy/sadness vs happines/joy, but the night was AMAZING!
I just want to end up my speech thanking them for the music and for all the great moments they let us enjoy! And personally, I'm endlessly thankful to the little boy who's been so nice with me since we met, and to his always-so-smart friend, for sharing such great talks and moments with us! You're great guys!
With love...
