It all began as a roumor at the Sweden Rock Festival 2003. Mr Skulls and Mr Colt had, since a long time ago, decided that hard rock was the thing to do. In one way or another.
The name DARK HAAGEN came to be one late night in a suburb to Stockholm, some time around may/june 2003.
But there was nothing even resembling a real band att that time. there was only the tattooed guitar-god Skulls and the less tattoed basripper Colt. Nothing more. But the heat was on.
It was going to be november 2003 before they tried out together in a rehersal in solna.
Slowly the band began to take form. Together with the new singer, Paloma, they made it through cover after cover and later on the first self made songs began to come to life. In february they found the drum n' ass kikkin Calle (ex. Unchaste).
But one piece was still missing. A second guitarswinger. And so they found Mr. Blackrose in Mars 2004. Now they had a complete lineup for the first time and struggled on and on in their hell hole in solna. But something did not feel right, something was wrong. Skulls and Colt had not created what they once dreamt of. They decided to start all over again.
Still under the DARK HAAGEN flag, Colt, Skulls and Blackrose continued their search of new members. Mr. Hutch joined some time around April/May. Now they were ready to roll again with a little more edge, a little more groove to the music.
They had been watching Stravinsky for some time and finally decieded that he was going to be asked to try out for the band. And when he did, they all knew that this was the band, the music, the thing.
The First demo was recorded and DARK HAAGEN started to get noticed. It didn't take long before the first gig was booked either.
DARK HAAGEN had become a force to be considered, a band to be reckoned with.
