Glorious Bankrobbers was formed back in 83-84. In 1984 they released their self titled debut LP, The members at the time was Olle hillborg; vocals, Jonas Petersson; guitars, Pelham Söderström; bass and Oden(Anders Odenstam); drums. After that it took 5 years until the Robbers released their next album, they recorded it in feruary-april 1989 and was released under the name 'Dynamite Sex Doze'. By the recording of 'Sex Doze' Lake Skoglund had replaced Pelham on bass and Mikael Jansson had joined as a second guitar player. In 89 they left sweden to find find fame and fortune in New York. They played in clubs like The Wolf Club, Red Spot, Cat Club and CBGB's where they recorded a live album. They broke up short after that and Jonas, Mikael, Oden and Lake formed Mental Hippie Blood, a heavy grunge band. Olle Joined the norwegian rock'n'roll band Backstreet Girls. 'Dynamite Sex Doze' got some great songs but suffers a little from a dry sound. But songs like 'Hairdown', 'Young Alcoholic', 'Spitfire' and the title track shows that they could do great sleaze. 'Sex Doze' also got a cover of Alice Cooper's 'I'm Eighteen' and that's cool if you ask me. On 'Live at CBGB's N.Y.C.' you find the best songs from 'Sex Doze' + a new one called 'Ridin' and a upbeat cover of Queen's 'We Will Rock You'. The songs sounds better live than on the studio album.
